Quickbar
The Quickbar is a menu on the chat box that gives you quick access to several features and settings. (Figure 1)
More items may be added to the Quickbar over time. To suggest new additions, please click here.
The Quickbar is also available on Mobile.
How to Access
To access the Quickbar, click the arrow button on the right side of the chat (see red box area in Figure 1).
On the mobile app, the arrow button is located on the bar above the chat. (Figure 2)
Current Items
The items below are currently accessible via the Quickbar, with their respective functions:
- Favorites - Set and access your favorite groups.
- GIFs - Search and send a GIF.
- Stealth - Enable/disable Stealth Mode.
- Visitors - Collapse/expand the Visitors list.
- Night - Enable/disable Night Mode.
- Smilies - Access the Smiley Selector.
- Translator - Access the Translator.
- Group powers - Assign/unassign group powers.
- Settings - Access your Account Settings.
- Events - Access the chat group events page. You need the Events or Eventstats power to use this page.
- More - Manage your Ignored and Blocked Users lists.
- What’s new? - View the latest xat version changes.
- User counter - See how many users are online in the chat. If you hover over this information, you will see how many users are online in each pool within the group.
Favorite Groups
The Favorite Groups feature allows you to manage and access a list of your favorite chat groups. You can access this feature by clicking "Favorite Groups" from the Quickbar menu.
A toggle option is displayed to add/remove the current group to/from your list. You can visit any of the groups on your list by clicking the group name.
To remove a group from your list, click the cross next to the group name. (Figure 3)
Ignored/Blocked
The Ignored and Blocked features allow you to manage the users you have ignored and blocked respectively on the chat. You can access this feature by clicking "More" from the Quickbar menu.
To add a user to the respective list, click their name on the Visitors list and then click either "Ignore" or the circle-backslash symbol at the top right and then "Block".
Users will remain on your lists indefinitely, until you remove them.
To remove a user from either list, click the cross next to the user's ID. You can also un-ignore a user by clicking their name on the Visitors list and then by clicking "Un-Ignore", unless they are also blocked.
Group Powers
The Group Powers feature allows you to manage your assigned group powers on the chat. You can search a group power in your inventory or scroll down and assign or unassign multiple quantities of each power depending on how many you have left / currently assigned on the chat respectively. You can access this feature by clicking "Group powers" from the Quickbar menu.
